The major issue is parent awareness of what their children need and the services that can be provided for them. I have considered not going the teaching route and just doing parent awareness seminars for parents with children with special needs to help them understand what they are entitled to. I am glad to hear that it does bother you and that you care, because unfortinutely a lot of teachers dont these days.
