High Five for Summer

Woohoo! Summer has begun for me! I am so excited to nanny some fabulous kids part time and hang out with friends. I have a feeling my summer will be consumed with many Pinterest projects, baking and traveling. Sounds like a fun 10 weeks to me :)

I am participating in our neighborhood garage sale today. This is the first garage sale I have done on my own and I feel pretty good about it. I hope I have a lot of customers so I don't have to drag things back in the house. My plan is to donate the small things that don't sell and Craigslist the bigger items.

Of course today is Friday, so I am linking up with From My Grey Desk to share my 5 favorite things from this week:

1. We ventured out to Soak City Water Park this past weekend. Temperatures were in the 90s so it felt refreshing, but the place was packed! We spent most of our time in the new wave pool (below).

2. Bathroom updates seen here and here. We are also now using our shower :)

3. My new lunchbox :) One of my student's gave it to me as a year end thank you and I love it! It is so perfect considering I pack my lunch every single day.

4. School's out for summer! My last day of work was Wednesday and we celebrated with froyo.  We may or may not make froyo a weekly occurrence around here...

5. More bathroom progress.. baseboards! Who ever thought baseboards would be so exciting?

Happy Friday everyone!

  1. I could eat froyo every single day. A student gave me a thirty one lunch box last year and I use it every day. YEAH for summer!!!!!

  2. I love froyo!! And, I love the bathroom reno! We're redoing our house too (bathroom included) and finishing baseboards feels like such an accomplishment! I'm a teacher too, and I'm SO excited to be out for summer.

  5. Yay for summer! What a great gift from your student! It's always great to get practical things, rather than yet another "world's greatest teacher" mug :)
